Was a fantastic diner. The kind of place that delivered a consistent experience each time you went. Sad to see it close but looking forward to its next chapter. Thanks for all the memories Tom's.

My last stop to Tom's was on the late nighter after a show. I ordered the Club Sandwich and this was one of the most epic club sandwiches I've ever had. The chef really did his thing. I tend to get breakfast items and they always satisfy. This is a great late night spot with some real solid options.

I loved every moment of being in this place... As someone else said, there's just something familiar about diners. This diner in particular - with the Googie architecture, and the old timesy feel - provides a nice level of comfort while dinning. I ordered the pasta with garlic bread. It was a huge plate, didn't think I could finish it... but I did! I then ordered the cheesecake which was actually really good! The whip créame on the side was a great touch! The server was friendly. The place wasn't packed. And overall it was great. Understand you're entering in a diner, which often sell more comfort food than gourmet dinners you'll find at gentrified restaurants in gentrified neighborhoods. The food here is great. The architecture is beautiful. Appreciate it all when you visit .

There is something familiar about diners like this - not sure if it's the color theme here or what. As we walked by and through the Colfax we decided to stop in to eat a late lunch. There was probably 2 other patrons eating so service was prompt for us. Service continued to be friendly as we got through our lunch. Since it was lunch we were in a sandwich mood. I ended up having a cheddar cheese burger with fries and the boyfriend went for a french dip. All was very delicious, hot, and juicy! Highly recommend for a quick stop in as service will be great and so will your food.

Solid diner fare in Capitol Hill. We went during the day, and there weren't many other patrons. I'm assuming this place is packed in the evenings and wee hours. One server was hustling and doing her best to take care of everyone in the place. I ordered my diner standby, a tuna melt. They serve it with cheddar, which I appreciate because otherwise I end up substituting that in for the Swiss some places use. My husband was hungry, so we also got a big plate of fried appetizer stuff. It was far too much food--portions are generous. We had lots to take home. If I need a diner fix again in Denver, this is a reliable option.

I stayed in Denver for the weekend after a conference, and I hadn't heard about Tom's until the end of a very unusual date. I was told Tom's was a sort of Denver institution and well, being open 24 hours helped since we wanted a bite around 3am. I had the best Montecristo I've ever had! Man it was tasty! That with a fresh veggie side salad really hit the spot (no, I couldn't finish, it was a lot). Between the food and great retro atmosphere that allowed us to talk for quite a while, I was a happy camper. Side note, great place for people watching haha.
